*My first race and my first stakes win, were outside of the United States, but other than those two races, I never raced outside of America.
*I earned more than one and a half million dollars in my racing career.
*I was originally with one top trainer and then was sent to another top trainer, before going back to my original trainer.
*All but one of my wins was on dirt, my favorite surface.
*I won less than half of my lifetime starts, although one more start could have changed that statistic.
*I was a stakes winner at six different racetracks.
*Bred in Kentucky, I have the blood of Northern Dancer, Mr. Prospector, Bold Ruler, Halo, and Roberto.
*I could not get up in my first race, but, in my defense, the race was way too short.
*I assuredly affirm, I am a fan of alliteration.
*My three seasons of racing were pretty consistent as far as starts and wins, but my final season was my best.
*I went out a winner; my final two starts were grade 1 stakes victories.
You should know by now … Who Am I ??? |

serena's song?
Sorry Ciaran, it is not Serena's Song, but thanks for getiing the ball rolling.
prize moneys wrong as prob other things are but her race record hint wud work.. and it's assonance not alliteration too but its worth gettin a few guesses in before i go to work!
Plesantly Perfect?
oh no, m wrong bout my alliteration thing. anyhooo
We are alluding to alliteration here, not assonance...but either way, the answer is a horse.
Paul Pleasantly Perfect...now there is alliteration! But, an incorrect answer I am afraid.
Just in case there is bad information on the internet, I'll try Will's Way since he was 6 for 13.
LOL, good guess Michael, but no, your guess of Will's Way was wrong, weally wrong.
Sweetsouthernsaint?
Cowboy Cal?
It is not Sweetsouthernsaint, nor is it Cowboy Cal.
Luckily for the community I am not a detective!
LOL. Michael, you are like the great basketball player who keeps shooting until he regains his touch!
From mid court and for sentimental reasons, Malibu Moon?
Malibu Moon, is...a swing and a miss.
I have entirely too many that fit your grammatical clue...but then other hints don't fit. Did I mention my eyes are bleeding? LOL
Regal Ransom and Kodiak Kowboy come the closest, but unless I have homeworked the wrong info, neither fit exactly.
I have also not eaten since about 5:30am...I am off for lucnh, and if no one gets it by the time I am back, I'll give it another go with refreshed eyes! :-)
Is there an official guess in there Marti?
Yeah...it's Regal Ransom
Marti, is that your final answer?
Yes, Regis, it is, LOL
Sorry Regal Ransom is not correct.
Huh. Then it's Kodiak'...I must have missed where he raced outside the US...ah well, 50/50 shot, and I gave away the answer anyway, LOL
And yes, make KK my final answer!
Wait a minute...how many final answers are you making???
Kodiak Kowboy is...correct!!!
Well done Marti, you have tied Mr. Billy Huntington as an all-time Who Am I ??? Grand Master. I bow to your awesomeness!!!
LOL...just one, apparently. I'll take it! They both came VERY close to fitting your hints, but I obviously researched Kodiak in the wrong places, as I missed his starts outside of the U.S.
NOW I am off for lunch, I am staring!
Good WAI once again, Brian...next week, please give away the answer in hint #1, my brain can't take it, LOL ;-)
Yes Kodiak Kowboy, ran his first and third races at Woodbine Racetrack in Canada.
Marti - next week we go head to head! I was stuck in the 80's thinking it had to be a filly because G1 winner and only $1.5 million didn't compute to a current horse in my mind. So here I sit.
Billy, all I said, was the horse earned over a million and a half...so, theoretically it could have been 10 mill, but of course I would not do that to my readers. Kodiak Kowboy earned $1,663,363 according to my research. By the way, I expect him to win an Eclipse in a few days.
Oh well, internet went down after my last guess but i don't remember having KK on my radar!
Nice job Marti! Darn school! lol. I never have enough time to participate in WAI. Well, I guess I can make for lost time during spring and summer break!
Looking forward to it, Billy...except for the part where I am sure you'll beat me! LOL...two in a row is lucky, as Brian has leanred to veil his clues better and better! ;-)
Three in a row? Who do you think I am?? Rachel?? ;-)
